Green Building has two main working groups,  Codes and retrofitting.

Mission Statement for Retrofitting group: 

To produce and present a public plan to the Mayor of Cleveland which creates an action plan for energy conservation retrofits of all 130,000 residential and commercial structures in the City of Cleveland. The mission of this plan will be to create opportunities for new living wage jobs, provide real savings to residents and businesses, and provide tangible positive environmental impact for our Green City on a Blue Lake.

 Group Goals:

* Having the City of Cleveland endorse the 2009 IECC Building Code.

- Having the State of Ohio implement the 2009 IECC Building Code.

* Weatherize all Buildings [140,000 - estimated] in the City of Cleveland by 2019.
